REV. WILLIAM A. "BILL" STROUSE-Windsor, FL. Bill Strouse, age 69, went home to be with the Lord February 13, 2011 at the Malcolm Randall V. A. Medical Center. Bill was born in Andalusia, Alabama, and was an Ordained Minister with the Baptist Conference. He started the church that is now known as Parker Road Baptist Church and was the first pastor, before the church was built. He also pastored at Ochwilla Baptist Church and Monteocha Baptist Church. Bill was loved by all who knew him and enjoyed writing Christian songs and poetry. He had a Master's Degree in Theology. Bill moved to Gainesville in 1969, leaving the U. S. Air Force afer serving twelve years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew & Lorraine Strouse, son Robert and two brothers Paul and Hugh, and sister Janice. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years Carolyn Annetta Burnham Strouse of Windsor, four daughters Lori Strouse of Crestview, FL, Anita Brown (Ronnie), Nadine Reed, and Carol Christen all of Windsor, FL. Nine Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend and he will be greatly missed!

A Service in Remembrance of Bill will be held Saturday Februyary 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the Milam Funeral Home, 311 S. Main Street, Gainesville, FL. Burial will be at a later date in the Eliam Cemetery at Melrose, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Haven Hospice of Gainesville, 4200 N.W, 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606

Arrangements are under the care of MILAM FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 311 s. Main St., Gainesville, FL.
